He started his career working with the FBI before joining the Eugene Police where he spent 17 years in various roles including street patrol, detective investigations, and paperwork.

After leaving police work, Dave returned to the University of Oregon to complete his education in political science. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for helping people make important decisions that could better their lives.

As a long-time resident of Junction City, Dave is committed to his community and has raised six kids with a philosophy of commitment and sports. He has volunteered as a soccer coach for nearly 12 years and has participated in various youth programs through his church. Dave’s commitment to service extends beyond his community, as he has also opened his home to foster children and foreign exchange students.
